How do the younger generations, who were born in the 21st century, feel and live the legacy of Amália? With musical direction by fado singer Camané, this is a musical theatre play with an orchestra and whose staging, dramaturgy and musical accompaniment is undertaken by Música & Musicais, a musical project by Agrupamento de Escolas Nuno Gonçalves. Música & Musicais covers students from 9 to 18 years old and was created in 2004 with the objective of developing creativity and communication through the promotion of artistic-musical activities, essential for a comprehensive formation of young people. Through the Musical Theatre and Orchestra component, it aims at valuing teamwork, developing self-esteem, autonomy, concentration and respect for difference. Músicas & Musicais has provided extracurricular learning, which greatly contributes to the construction of critical, creative and participative personalities in the art scene and, consequently, to the effective inclusion of our young people in school and social environment.
