Cristina Branco returns to the acclaimed album Abril for a special tour, in the year that commemorates 50 years since the 25th of April. After her recent sold-out tour in Portugal and abroad to present her latest album Mãe, the singer joins the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April in a series of performances, bringing to the stage the album Abril, launched in 2007 as a tribute to Zeca Afonso’s songs. In this concert, she will revisit the album’s 16 tracks, including iconic songs like Menino d’Oiro, Venham Mais Cinco, Era um Redondo Vocábulo, A Morte Saiu à Rua or Índios da Meia Praia. A live experience with an exceptional group of musicians: Ricardo Dias on the piano, Bernardo Moreira on the double bass, Alexandre Frazão on drums and Mário Delgado on electric guitar. Cristina Branco has captivated audiences around the world with her unique voice and passionate performances, in a remarkable career with 18 records released. Her work is an invaluable contribution to promoting and advocating for Portuguese music, language and authors. Returning to Abril is a genuine expression of her respect and admiration for Zeca Afonso, and it sets the perfect tone for celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April.
