In two sessions, Martim Sousa Tavares and Hugo van der Ding tell, in their own way, the story of the last two thousand years of Western art and thought. Of culture, that is. Duas pessoas a dar um curso de cultura (em geral) is the first proposal of Foco Maestro, a project by Teatro São Luiz, which invites each year a conductor to determine events in the programme. In 2024, Martim Sousa Tavares was given carte blanche to present five different projects between February and December.
