A workshop that challenges the children to become the architects and planners of the Lisbon that exists in their imagination. At first, you walk through the city with your eyes open looking at the sidewalks, the façades, the buildings, the stores, the houses. Every child is asked to take over a building, a small corner, a balcony or a window-shop and keep it in his mind. Who lives in that building? What does the inside of the building look like? What was sold in that store 10 years ago? That city is then rebuilt, from memory and from the individual research shared with the group. Objects are built, resulting in models, built with materials suited to the participants age group. Curiosity about the observation of their surroundings is stimulated and also the research about the stories hidden behind those places and, at last, with much imagination and creativity, a small scale city is built, based on everyone’s collective creation.
