Description

FIMFA will hold its 24th edition in 2024. Teatro São Luiz is, as usual, one of its main stages, providing the opportunity to delve into the diversity of contemporary puppetry practices and their relationship with other arts. Since its inception, FIMFA has invited all audiences to discover renowned artists and young revelations who disrupt, shuffle and reinvent the current puppetry scene through experimental and surprising shows of the highest technical and artistic standard. Against a backdrop of global turmoil, this edition was conceived as a space for sharing and discussion. To go against reality, to break with what is common, to look for new paths, to think and experiment with different ways of living, being and doing. A puppet to see and think about the world from a different perspective. At FIMFA, the focus is on objects, puppets, shapes, matter and images. Creations that stimulate the senses and manipulate the imagination, in the beauty of big and small things, but where there is also time for debates, masterclasses and meetings with the creators.
