This is the story of a bear who, “in the beginning of the world, in a time where everyone walked without carrying anything on them” decides to wait, and not move, for the figs in a fig tree to become ripe and ready to be eaten. Except, as the title says, Os Figos São Para Quem Passa… Marta Bernardes does a staged reading of the book by João Gomes Abreu and Bernardo P. Carvalho, published by Planeta Tangerina in 2016, convinced, like Natália Correia used to say, that poetry was made to be eaten. And she challenges young audiences: “Now we are going to dream together and know reality with our mouths and with our feet, find out about the different relationships with the world: by walking through the sun and the shadows, hand open, words blossoming.”
