Perselí is a four-voice trio: Fuensanta sings and plays double bass, José Soares plays saxophone and Alistair Payne plays trumpet. They found each other in their respect for vulnerability and sensitivity towards sound and their search for a path of constant discovery. The trio produces narratives that develop without haste, like an imitation of flowers, leaves or life without anxiety. The formation of 3 “voices” and double bass allows multiple possibilities of sound and texture. Throughout the set, improvised passages and original compositions can be heard that draw on a mix of folk music and soundscapes that refer to nature. The trio composes together and everyone influences each other to form this entirely unique sound with influences from Arvo Pärt, Morton Feldman, Björk, Radiohead, Chico Buarque, Fausto or Maurice Ravel.
