Luís Araújo directs Duncan Macmillan, an english playwright that is still little known in Portu-gal, in a play that makes a head-on approach to the millennial generation and its worries. On stage, a couple in their 30ies argues, during a trip to IKEA, about having a baby and what im-pact that decision will have on them and on the world — confronting them and the audience with the imminence of a catastrophe with cataclysmic consequences. Although not explicitly about climate change, Pulmões speaks of a generation who, like the planet, lives in a cons-tant state of anxiety and economical, social, politic and environmental uncertainty.
