Sara Correia embarks on this tour having achieved the status of a phenomenon: she travelled across the world under applause, launched two albums acclaimed by the public, praised by the critics and awarded in the industry, she was nominated for a Latin Grammy and she confirmed fado as her home. As Sara Correia says, Liberdade, her third record, is “the most fado-heavy”. Beginning with the melodic fado language, with strong Portugal-centric undertones, melodies with different arrangements and more eclectic, free and unstereotypical sounds are draped over it. On stage, together with her band, Sara Correia delivers a uniform and cohesive show, albeit tinged with many different colours and textures that stem from subtle experiences and influences captured from other genres. All of this fits into Sara Correia’s fado, all of this resounds in her soul, which lives fully in this Liberdade.
