Tcheka and Mário Laginha form a musical duo based on friendship and mutual respect for each other’s music. In this concert at Teatro São Luiz, they bring together different genres and influences and present a repertoire of original compositions, with melodies that combine guitar, piano and voice. Born in a secluded place on Santiago Island, in Cape Verde, Tcheka created a unique style that testifies to the influences he received on a global scale. His music flows naturally, resisting any attempt at easy categorization, given the references to different genres from Cape Verde, African jazz, folk music, blues and rock. For Mário Laginha, making music is above all an act of sharing. And it has done so with strong musical personalities from the most different areas.
