With Ao Cabo Teatro, Nuno Cardoso continues to search the classics for a way to understand our concrete life. Coming back to São Luiz with Timão de Atenas, by William Shakespeare, a historical play that joins tragedy and comedy and speaks about the economical and social disruption brought on by greed, corruption or simply by leading the fate of a community based on an economy of favours. Shakepeare’s harshest play on misanthropy is a striking portrait in its contemporaneity.
