Teatro São Luiz presents, in preview, the filmed opera virino kaj naturo #, with music by Vítor Rua and libretto by Ilda Teresa Castro. An ecofeminist and ecowomanist opera which focuses on the parallell between the subjugation and manipulation of the female situation and the domination and instrumentalisation of Nature. With a title in Esperanto, virino kaj naturo, which means Woman and Nature, it takes a historical and socio-philosophical journey to Black Feminism and to Black Lives Matter, created and led by African-American women. With the participation of performer Regina Frank, sopranos Bárbara do Canto Lagido, Orlanda Guilande and Sara Ribeiro, and with scenographic sculptures by Rui Chafes. On the same day, will be launched the DVD+CD conatining the film and the soundtrack of the opera as well as the book ecofeminismos e o ecofeminismo da bruxa — cinema e ecologia #, by Ilda Teresa Castro, the inspiration for the libretto on Ecofeminist movements and on the history of Women in Ecology. There will also be a musical intervention by sopranos Bárbara do Canto Lagido and Sara Ribeiro.
